Jan 1, 2010 at 1:00pm
Adam Lambert started the new year—indeed, the new decade—off with a bang last night, performing at the Gridlock New Year’s Eve bash at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles.
Before wowing the crowd with his golden pipes and electrifying stage presence, the American Idol fave shared his New Year’s resolution with reporters outside.
How does Glambo plan to improve his already awesome self in the coming year? Click on the video to find out!

he was the best act of the night.
Damn he is gorgeous. And he rocked it last night. Amazing.
It’s so weird to me how he’s all adorable and cute and disarming offstage then gets onstage and transforms. Loud huge sexual swagger mixed with flamboyance I think it’s freaking amazing. :)
^ That’s part of his appeal. He’s super charming and sweet and hilarious and chill in person but he has so much intensity and energy onstage.
I don’t know what it is that some people have that pulls people in ? but he had everyone round his little finger. I mean almost everyone was hammered yet when he came on everyone’s eyes were on him and you could feel the excitement build up and no one was bored.
He’s in another world up there, that’s partly what seperates good performers, and performers.isn’t it. His band are amazing as well, they’re perfect. God I had so muc h fun, I’m def. going to his tour it’s gonna be wild.
“Do I look like a firework? That was my motivation.”
wow this kid knows how to work the cameras..and they LOVE him!!Adam here!Adam turn!Adam to the right!Adam one more!
The “MMMMMoa”-airkiss made me laugh!
OMG! I love him so much…I can’t wait to see him in concert.
He is so gorgeous! We must do something to stop the TV conspiracy against Adam. My wish for nest year is to see Adam on any channel few times a week.
Anyways will not be enough!
Now that is one sexy man! He could sell me anything!
Since “JadaLee” sort of brought up the TV issue – I’m going to make a leap and ask E to have some balls and report on how ABC & DCNYRE put Robin Thicke/Sex Theraphy on IMMEDIATELY following tween Justin Bieber & Selena Gomez peformances. ABC marketed Disney’s shameless cross promotion of their tweens and it was well known these stars would be on DCNYRE, so don’t say “it was late…blah blah blah…” Special night, special bedtime allowances – TWEENS were watching to catch their tween stars (adults certainly aren’t interested in Bieber/Gomez are they?). Would never allow my under 15 kids anywhere near the AMA’s, but caved in and let them look for Bieber/Gomez – I was entertaining – didn’t get to them/TV before commercial break ended and “Sex Therapy” was on. Lots of questions I’d rather have not had to answer on that one. Will deal with it, I’m the parent, my decision – but the stunning hypocrisy displayed once again by ABC makes me irritated about their treatment of Lambert w/ the AMA situation all over again. Hey Ryan – a little too late – but why don’t you stand up for Adam now in pointing out the sickening hypocrisy to ABC & Dick Clark Productions! I’m doing fairly well on my no ABC ban in hy household, perhaps others are too. Last, thanks to all the YouTubers and such for the great footage of Lambert’s set at Gridlock. Lambert is a gift to us all.

wow..you’re my hero..
I am far away in South Africa and I am FEELING the ADAM HEAT, he rocks my world, I hope he comes to S.A. soon cause there’s a ‘WHOLE LOTTA LUV’ for him here!!!!
Adam was Awesome last night with the cameras–such a professional and so generous/kind—and Awesome on stage he was a live Firecracker! loved how he said “it’s about the music” tonight—–and boy was it ever!! He Rocked!! Want to see more of Adam!!!
Adam was phenomenal at Gridlock and I’m glad he wasn’t on insipid ABC NYE, he got to sing 10 songs at Gridlock and his performance was electrifying, his vocals out of this world, there is no one like Adam, 2010 is going to be awesome. ABC is banned at our home , only if they give ADam a his own special will we even consider watching again.
Hypocrisy runs rampant in any big business, so why is anyone shocked with ABC’s schizophrenia about sex? As for Ryan Seacrest, give him a break.. How many of you would confront your employer over a fairness issue? Not too many, I think. And, I’m sure Ryan sees no need to endanger his career when Adam is doing just fine. Everything in life is a trade-off to a certain extent, so Adam was not on ABC with its large audience singing one song on NYE, instead, he was in LA. with fans, family, friends, and a great venue to do an entire concert of songs from his album, then threw in Whole Lotta Love just for fun. His career is just beginning folks, we have to chill and not expect everything to happen immediately and with no bumps in the road. Just keep supporting Adam and each year he will get bigger and bigger and bigger. He’s one of a kind.

Please write to ABC and tell them how you feel. Go to ABC.com and down to the bottom under contact ABC.
I agree that Adam at the Gridlock was fantastic in the sense that he played a 11 songs and had the crowd mesmerized. ABC is still off my TV. Adam is so gracious and beautiful and when he performing the world stops!!! He is electrifying!!!
What’s with the porcupine hair? He wears more eyeliner that most women. Yuk!
i hate to tell all you Glamfans……ABC could care less what you think. You are just a blip on their radar. ABC is bigger and has more viewers than just you so your boycott of them won’t even make a dent in their viewership.
Adam is DISGUSTING ~ he doesn’t even look masculine! I can’t understand what all the HOOPLA is about ~ this screeching hyena! They’re a dime a dozen on Broadway! The eye make-up this guy uses! EEEEESH! You Cougas are really hard up!
OMG he’s gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seen all the Gridlock videos, wow wow wow!!! Adam owned the night. Let me know where to find Adam on the web, and I’ll be there! I believe that there are millions of Adam’s fans boycotting ABC.
Adam is so incredibly talented, and SO HOT!!! Rock on Adam!
Add me to the boycotting ABC list. I have not watched since they axed Adam from the New Years Eve show. But on the positive side, Adam proved that he didn’t need their new years eve show, because he was actually better off at Gridlock where he was the STAR of the show and was treated with respect, and he stole the show. I am so proud of him and I can only imagine how proud his family must feel. It truely warms my heart.
He is a beautiful, talented man and was born to perform. I am so thankful he has chosen to share his wonderful gift with us. Rock on Adam..2010 is going to be an even brighter year for our star. Now bring on that tour! My daughter and I drove 14 hours to see him, and only him, this summer on the idol tour…and we’re prepared to drive that distance and even more to see him when he tours.

Re Ryan – absolutely, unrealistic of me to think otherwise. HOWVER, and I may be wrong on this, but I just caught the Monday 1/4/10 12pm EST rebroadcast of “E News” and unless I missed it, they went through a whole run down of NYE events and appearances, included Eva L./Beso, Gaga, Nicole Ritchie etc., and I don’t think they mentioned Gridlock… now that makes me mad. I may have missed it, but I don’t think so. That would be irritating. Ryan should have some influence in this realm. Anyway, as other bloggers/commentors have suggested, ABC doesn’t really care about this. I did contact ABC for sure!! But they don’t care in the end. And importantly, as another mentioned here, Adam was right where he was supposed to be on NYE! But having said that, I certainly wouldn’t mind if entertainment reporters and such picked up on this hypocrisy and double standard, especially in light of the JLo dancer/crotch issue, and reported on it, afterall, that’s only fair… but alas, fairness doesn’t come into play w/ big business. With the combo of the JLo dancer/crotch thing and the “Sex Therapy” thing ‘though, it’s more than Adam Lambert at this point for me. But, yes, it’s such a David and Goliath thing… I’d be better putting my energy into being positive in 2010 like Lambert
