It just wasn't Scott McIntyre's night on American Idol.

The sight-impaired AI contestant's bold gambit to bust out the six-string didn't pay off for him, and after a debate among the judges about his fate, American Idol baddie Simon Cowell tipped the scales to give him a thumbs-down.
