Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt Bring Hope to Ethiopia

on Sep. 15, 2008 10:09 AM / 2 Comments

A cynic might think that children are just one more collectible commodity to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

After all, their multicultural family seems to have been chosen with all the care that a connoisseur puts into selecting a particularly valuable piece of furniture.

But even the most loudmouth hater will be hard-pressed to find a negative interpretation to the latest good deeds of the Jolie-Pitt Foundation.

Brad and Angelina's endowment for the betterment of the planet has earmarked $2 million to establish a clinic in Ethiopia to care for children effected by rampant tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS, reports People.

The extensive Jolie-Pitt family famously includes three-year-old Zahara, a girl the couple adopted together from Ethiopia.

Jolie and Pitt started their foundation in September 2006. Their initial investments in an improved world were a $1 million donation to Global Action for Children and an additional $1 million to Doctors Without Borders.

So even if Changeling turns out to suck, all people of good faith should still pay to support it, if only to support sick kids.

The world needs more people such as Brad & Angelina and I'm glad to be their number one fun. There is nothing wrong with giving back to society and they are such selfless people who really care about the well being of not only themselves but others as well. I only wish them the best in all their endeavors and may they be greatly blessed.

I'm sorry, when Brad and Angelina adopted the first child, I thought how nice. However, when they keep adding more and more it becomes apparent they are wearing their newest fade like a charm bracelet. Adding more and more for bragging rights and publicity only. Why wont they adopt any AMERICAN children? WHY wont they donate to AMERICAN poor families who could use the help. OR open a medical fund people like me could use when stricken by cancer or other diseases our insurance doesnt cover all of? It seems to me, the only things they donate to are the things that get them the most publicity. I USED to adore both of these people, however.....to me, families are not a business and when giving....try to give to your own before going outside of the country, we have just as many who need HERE!
