Angelina Jolie will gift the 61st Cannes Film Festival with not one but two new films next month. One is called Kung Fu Panda, in which the global ambassador plays an animated karate-wielding tiger opposite Jack Black's panda bear.
The jury might as well just pack it in right now. There's no point in even seeing any other flicks.
Angie's other Cannes offering is generating awards buzz. The rail-thin dramatist stars in the Clint Eastwood-directed 1920s kidnap drama The Changeling.
That will compete against Traffic director Steven Soderbergh's two-part Che Guevara biography and acclaimed German director Wim Wenders' Palermo Shooting for the coveted Palme d'Or.
A lighter version of the heavy-with-twins Jolie was at Cannes last year, where she debuted A Mighty Heart. Which turned out to be mighty bad. Like A Mighty Wind—in smell-o-vision.
