Angelina Jolie Gives Birth to Twin Boy and Girl

After all the stops and starts, it's official: Angelina Jolie has finally given birth to the twins!

While In Touch had initially reported that Jolie gave birth to twin girls on Saturday, Jolie's obstetrician, Dr. Michael Sussman, delivered her baby boy, Knox Leon (5.03 pounds), and girl, Vivienne Marcheline (5 pounds) at 8 p.m. Saturday night via caesarean section at La Fondation Lenval hospital in Nice, France.

Sussman told the Associated Press via telephone that proud papa Brad Pitt was present during the birth. "The mother, the father, the babies are doing marvelously well," Sussman confirmed. Jolie is expected to stay in the hospital for a few days.

The doctor told the AP he believes the girl's middle name was chosen to honor Angelina Jolie's deceased mother, Marcheline Bertrand. Knox was the middle name of Pitt's maternal grandfather.

Meanwhile, local newspaper Nice Matin first broke news of the birth, and reports that the couple sold rights for the first photo of their newly enlarged family—grand total of toddlers for those keeping track: six—to an unnamed U.S. publication, and that the proceeds would go to charity.

Honestly, is it wrong to be this jacked up over the birth of kids who aren't even your own? Yeah, probably—and being wrong never felt so right!

I heard they're will be selling photos of the twins to major media for $10 mil +. Is it me or do stars seem to like pimping photos of their new borns/kids for a price?
