Angelina Jolie Needs no Explanation
Pretty much everyone on the planet would like to get to know Angelina Jolie a little better, but according to the actress, she’d rather stay tight-lipped about the motivations that guide her actions, according to MSNBC.
“I don’t need to apologize or explain myself,” Jolie tells Harper’s Bazaar UK in its December issue. “I am still, at heart—and always will be—just a punk kid with tattoos.”
Come on now, Angie; calling yourself a punk kid only gives credibility to the real punk kids roaming around the show-biz gutter these days.
Jolie admits that she allows her expansive brood to indulge in combative pastimes. “My kids play video games. I let them play with toy soldiers. We don’t take war and violence lightly, but we don’t hide it from anybody,” she notes. “We say, ‘Mommy and Daddy have movies where we play these characters, but there’s real death and violence in the world.’”
Good thinking, Mom; after all, with the small arsenal of weapons you have in your home, you wouldn’t want anyone getting any unrealistic ideas about violence.
So she does an interview to explain that she doesn’t feel the need to explain herself? Okay then!
