Us reports that Angelina Jolie, 35, has told the BBC that she plans on retiring from acting to become a full time mom.
Say it ain't so! We forgive you for Tomb Raider: Cradle of Life!
Jolie has six children (half biological and half adopted) with companion Brad Pitt, 45. The couple are currently living in Berlin as Brad shoots Quentin Tarantino's World War II epic Inglourious Basterds.
"I don't plan to keep acting very long. I'm ready to do a few things now and fade away and get ready to be a grandma one day," she says. "I'm not so worried that I want to keep this pace up and try to be a celebrity."
Angelina fans don't need to start a frantic campaign to bring her back to the silver screen just yet. The Changeling actress says she can be lured in for the right project.
"I don't think I'll ever say I'm never, ever gonna work. Maybe there's that interesting project where I feel creative."
Angelina received positive reviews for her role as a mother forced to accept a child that is not her own in Clint Eastwood's Changeling, and IMDB says she has two roles on the horizon (Atlas Shrugged and The Mercenary). Jolie herself claims she plans to stop working in February of the coming year.
This aversion to acting doesn't have anything to do with being labeled "uncool" by a certain actress, does it, Angie? Didn't your guy already take care of that?
