Anne Hathaway seems to have worse-than-average luck when it comes to relationships.

The Get Smart beauty, who cut ties with her boyfriend Raffaello Follieri just before he was indicted on various fraud charges earlier this year, was herself bilked by her caddish beau, the New York Post reports.

Hathaway ponied up a jaw-dropping $37,000 a month for Raffy's swanky Olympic Tower duplex in New York for four months, up until June, when federal investigators closed in on the alleged real-estate swindler, the paper reports.

Wow! No wonder Anne has recently professed her wariness about smooth-talking dudes.

Just goes to show; it never hurts to do a little research on the people you're hooking up with. Otherwise, the results could be disastrous.
