Anne Hathaway Opens Up About Jailbird Ex
"As soon as I found out about the arrest, I had to get on a plane to Mexico to do a press tour for Get Smart," she says. "And then I spent a week in shock at a friend's house."
Follieri is currently in jail awaiting trial on charges of wire fraud and money laundering.
Hathaway reportedly broke up with him mere hours before his arrest.
"It's a situation where the rug was pulled out from under me all of a sudden," Hathaway described. "But just as suddenly, my friends threw another rug back under me. One said, 'Go stay at my house.'"
Hathaway says that she'll start "focusing again" in the fall, but she plans on just "being me" for the time being.
There's got to be a long morning after, Anne. Stay strong.
