Anne Hathaway Opens Up About Jailbird Ex
Anne Hathaway (and her braids) spoke to W magazine about her break-up with her felon ex-boyfriend, Rafaello Folleiri, as reported by Us.
“As soon as I found out about the arrest, I had to get on a plane to Mexico to do a press tour for Get Smart,” she says. “And then I spent a week in shock at a friend’s house.”
Follieri is currently in jail awaiting trial on charges of wire fraud and money laundering.
Hathaway reportedly broke up with him mere hours before his arrest.
“It’s a situation where the rug was pulled out from under me all of a sudden,” Hathaway described. “But just as suddenly, my friends threw another rug back under me. One said, ‘Go stay at my house.’”
Hathaway says that she’ll start “focusing again” in the fall, but she plans on just “being me” for the time being.
There’s got to be a long morning after, Anne. Stay strong.

According to multiple reports, Rafaello Folleiri has plead guilty to real-estate fraud charges. He has been sentenced to up to five years and three months in prison and reportedly has no plans to appeal the sentence.
So far, no friend has stepped up to tell Rafaello, “Go stay at my house.”
