Aubrey O’Day Finds Playboy “Liberating”

Jan 13, 2009 at 5:00pm

Aubrey O’Day shouldn’t need much liberating.

After all, the 24-year-old singer/sexpot is already pretty free when it comes to her choice of companions. And, of course, she was liberated big-time from her former girl-group, Danity Kane, in October.

But O’Day says that posing in the buff for Playboy has been her most emancipating experience to date.

The girl-snogging warbler is the March 2009 cover girl for Hugh Hefner‘s venerable skin mag.  Inside, there’s an accompanying nude photo-shoot by lensman Markus Klinko, whose other projects include the cover of Beyonce Knowles‘ 2003 album Dangerously in Love.

O’Day was reportedly paid $500,000 to shed her clothes for the camera, but she says the biggest reward was non-financial.

“You know, I think that Playboy for me was one of the most liberating things that I’ve done as a woman,” O’Day tells MTV.

Which is really saying something, since Aubrey has already posed in the nude with her former Danity Kane bandmates for an October 2008 PETA ad. And posed pretty much in the nude for her recent pole-licking layout in Complex magazine. And tends to display a lack of regard for boundaries overall.

What, in God’s name, could be left to liberate?

Maybe someone could liberate O’Day’s poor pooch from Aubrey’s sadistic experiments with canine hair dye?
