While some countries throughout Asia don't find Avril Lavigne to be very sexy, others at least deem her charitable enough to give the pop star an award.

The fang-toothed songbird was handed a Certificate of Honor from the China Association of Social Workers yesterday, as some proceeds from her "Best Damn Tour" were distributed to poor families and children with disabilities in the country.

Given Avril's penchant for scraping for cash wherever she can find it, this award casts her in a whole new, selfless light—maybe she's a modern day Robin Hood!

Mind you, an unsexy, childless Robin Hood...
