Avril Lavigne: “No Kids for Me, Thanks!”

Avril Lavigne may be many things. Singer. Perfume mogul. Frequent flipper of the bird. But, as she tells OK! Magazine, she won’t be adding “mother” to that list in the near future.

“I don’t want to have kids for like 10 years,” Lavigne declares. “I don’t even know if I could handle a dog right now. I’m so not ready. Someday I’ll be a mom but not until I’m in my 30s.”

Hmm; you’d think that, having been reduced to opening-act status lately, she and husband Deryk Whibley would be eager to exploit one of celebrity-hood’s most reliable cash cows.

Then again, maybe Avril and Deryk could make more from people willing to pay them not to reproduce.
