Cruz Beckham has downgraded himself from superhero to sidekick with a single costume change, and we’re not talking some elaborate design function ala his mum.

In a surprising turn of events, Cruz has shed the Batman costume he was once so fond of for errand runs and birthday parties for a more colorful getup as Robin.

Not that we’re implying he’s an underachiever.  Or that Victoria is letting her son’s standards slide. We’re just appreciative he’s got both costumes in his possession and gets to decide which he wants for outings like this, spotted Thursday at Saks Fifth Avenue in Beverly Hills.

Even with the mask, Cruz has more conventional taste than some celeb dresser-uppers we can name.
