Beyoncé & Jay-Z Checkin’ into the 10583?
Looks like the scent of old money is too delish to resist even for a nouveau riche power couple. Beyoncé and Jay-Z are in talks to purchase a colonial-style mansion in Scarsdale, New York, the Daily News reports.
Not traditionally known as the land of the hip-hoppers, the city boasts one of the U.S.’ ritziest Zip codes. The property that has lured B-J, which has been under construction for six months, is 15,000 square feet on two acres of ultramanicured grounds. They’d be joining the likes of Susan Lucci, Yoko Ono and Aaron Sorkin—fine names indeed, albeit curious cohorts.
Guess the two gave us all a tipoff to the town of their dreams when they secured their marriage license at the local Scarsdale courthouse. Chances are Jay will keep his Tribeca digs for those times when he needs his urban guy space.
