Penn Badgley's main squeeze Blake Lively did a spot on Late Night with David Letterman to promote next week's second season premiere of Gossip Girl.

Unfortunately, her dress had static cling. Or decided to start eating itself. Either way, Serena van der Woodsen wouldn't be caught dead in that electrically charged get-up.

Expect a full scathing diatribe from Tim Gunn, by next week.

And, Blake...even if that dress was a birthday gift, you might think about asking for the receipt. Or just give it to Lauren Conrad. That's where bad couture goes to die.
