Brad Pitt Eyeing Chilean Miner Movie

Brad Pitt's production company Plan B has made a pitch to bring the true story of the 33 trapped Chilean miners to the big screen in a reported multi-million dollar deal that seeks to cast some of the miners as themselves in the film.

The lawyer who's representing the miners, Edgardo Reinoso, told Chilean newspaper El Mercurio that the Pitt offer is only one amongst many that he receives every day, adding that he's holding out for arrangements to be made that guarantee the profits of the film will be evenly distributed between the miners.

Oddly enough, Pitt may have a leg-up on the competition since the miners, while staring death in the face, requested three movies be sent down into their underground prison, two of which starred Brad Pitt (Troy and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button). The other was The Mask with Jim Carrey.

Would you watch a movie about the Chilean miners? Tell us in the comments section.

You’d think not wanting to have your company associated with abortions/emergency contraception would outweigh the potential awesomeness of “Get it? Because my first name starts with B!” But who knows. I think Brad Pitt just smokes a lot of weed.
