Brad Pitt Has ‘Hate’ in His Heart for the Paparazzi

Dec 2, 2008 at 5:29pm

Brad Pitt, 45, appeared on NBC’s Today show Tuesday morning, supposedly to talk about his charitable foundation which is helping to revive one of the places he calls home—Hurricane Katrina-stricken New Orleans.

When talk turned to the relentless attention he and companion Angelina Jolie, 33, receive from the world’s media, a newly moustached Pitt got deathly serious. As the AP reports:

“Let me be very blunt: I hate them. I hate these people. I don’t understand…that they do that for a living.”

Whoa. Pitt went on to describe the type that gets his goat, obviously referring to the two pinheads that stormed his French chateau in July:  They “climb over your walls wearing camouflage and calling out your kids’ names as you’re trying to take them to school.”

Brad and Angelina were in town for the premiere of Brad’s new film The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Brad’s glorious moustache is for the character he’s playing in Quentin Tarantino‘s next film, Inglorious Basterds.

Pitt’s weariness and strong feelings toward the paps are understandable, but look at it a little differently—he’s fueling an entire industry and providing jobs in a scary economy.

Though he probably doesn’t look at it that way…because he’s feeling a little hunted.
