Brangelina Does Battle for War-Torn Kids

on Jun. 26, 2008 01:27 PM / 6 Comments

This is getting out of control.

Noted humanitarians and serial adopters Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are continuing their campaign to make the rest of us look bad, according to People magazine. The couple is donating $1 million to kids who've been disadvantaged by the Iraq war.

The donation to the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict, which was cofounded by Jolie last year, will be divided between the Armed Services YMCA Operation Hero Program, which educates and provides emotional support to children of U.S. military personnel, and various groups providing aid to Iraqi women and children.

Of course, this is just the latest in a long string of charitable gestures from the couple.  Great, so they're not only better looking than 99.99 percent of the population, they're actually better people.

Now they just need to start a foundation for insane actors who don't know a good thing when it literally smacks them on the lips.

Hmm, I'm cool with this... so long as at least half the cash goes to this Iraqi kid:

it's amazing how they have 6 kids, a mansion in france, and can still afford to donate millions of dollars.

It’s cool how people tend to forget they are also richer than 99.99% of the population, so they can appear much better than many unknown folks who don’t mind doing good without issuing a press release.
