Bret Michaels Flips Off the Grim Reaper, Leaves Hospital in Stable Condition
After experiencing more than his share of thorns in the last couple of weeks, everything is coming up roses for Bret Michaels.
Barely a week after being hospitalized with a brain hemorrhage, the Poison frontman and Rock of Love star has been discharged from the Barrow Neurological Institute at St. Joseph's Hospital, and is expected to make a full recovery. While Michaels' surgeon, Dr. Joseph Zabramski, says that the singer is "still very sick right now," he says that Michaels' prognosis looks overwhelmingly positive:
"Mr. Michaels was indeed a lucky person, a very lucky person...He's improving. I really expect that he will fortunately make a 100 percent recovery. He's just one of those lucky people – 10 to 20 percent who make a complete recovery and can resume all of their normal activities."
While "normal activities" may be a relative term in Michaels' case, it appears that means he'll be hitting the road once more: Recently it was announced on the singer's Web site that he'll be resuming his Roses & Thorns tour, which was postponed due to his hemorrhage, later this month.
