The Brit Awards: Lady GaGa Visits the Pet Shop

on Feb. 19, 2009 07:05 AM / 2 Comments

Pantsless warrior Lady GaGa and The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers joined the rest of the fans at the Brit Awards last night in honoring dance music mainstays Pet Shop Boys as they received an award for outstanding contribution to music.

But the real eye-opener was GaGa's porcelain vase outfit.

Pet Shop Boys played a medley of their hits over the years as the awards show closer, and were joined by Flowers and GaGa on their last song and most famous tune - "West End Girls."

And fashion pioneer GaGa (who plays a bisexual on TV) came out looking like all she needed was a bouquet of flowers sticking out of her head and a dining room table to be placed upon.

Check the video above for the performance. The Brit Awards are the UK's version of the Grammys.

The big winner last night was singer Duffy, who won three awards including Best Album, Best British Female, and Best British Breakthrough Act, according to Bloomberg.com.

“I traveled this whole country for five years playing my songs to old ladies and everybody,” Duffy, 24, said through tears. “I can’t tell you what this means.”

Gwyneth Paltrow's husband Chris Martin's band Coldplay (who won multiple Grammys this year) shockingly lost out on all four awards that they were nominated for, including Best Live Act which went to heavy metal act Iron Maiden!

The always humble Kanye West accepted his Best International Male award via video message and proclaimed that he was now "the best male" in "every nation." Does that include Belgium?

And Benji Madden friend Katy Perry won Best International Female. Here's a complete list of winners:
