Britney and Ellen Christmas Carol in SoCal!

It wasn't the belly-baring wardrobe of Circus, but there was definitely a charm to what Britney Spears was wearing when she was caught out on the street last week with daytime queen-pin Ellen DeGeneres.

The two ladies were in full Dickens regalia: Spears, 27, sported a red velvet bonnet with lace trim and and an ankle-length hoop skirt as she sashayed with 50-year-old DeGeneres, who wore a matching green number, on a residential street in Los Angeles.

Us Weekly obtained images of the duo carrying what appeared to be a songbook as they strolled, singing along. Another shot shows the pair dancing in the middle of the street.

If Ellen's Paris Hilton Day of Fun is any indication, the holiday follies that Portia de Rossi's ol' lady has in store for Spears should be nothing short of genius.
