Britney Spears and Kevin Federline: Still Working on Deal to Bring Kids on Tour
Just when it looked like Britney Spears would be bringing her sons along on her upcoming Circus tour, her ex-husband Kevin Federline and his legal team say it's not quite a done deal just yet.
Spears has been insistent that her children join her on the road jaunt, which begins on March 3 in New Orleans. And even though the singer's official Web site reported on Monday that they were definitely coming along for the ride, apparently a final agreement has yet to be hammered out.
The good news? Spears, 27, and Federline, 30, are reportedly close to reaching a compromise in the matter.
Federline's lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan tells E! that a resolution on the matter could be reached "within a day."
The recently sued pop star was reportedly willing to cancel her two-month U.S. tour if Federline's lawyers denied her wish. Federline has primary custody of Sean Preston, 3, and Jayden James, 2, although Spears sees them 50 percent of the time.
"Kevin is working to make them accessible by going on various central locations in various areas of the country," Kaplan says. "He is doing that because he wants her to be able to have the maximum positive environment around her to assure that the tour will be successful."
K-Fed's legal eagle also states that the children will not be at the venues Britney's performing at, but will be with her after she is through with the "rigors of performing."
