Now that her crazy days of hanging around leeches and opportunistic scum seem to be behind her, pop tart Britney Spears is seeking a higher breed of companion.

Saturday afternoon found the Louisiana diva cheering on a match rail side at the Beverly Hills Polo Club.

Also chaperoning in attendance were the singer's father, Jamie Spears, and original managerial mastermind Larry Rudolph.

Whether Britney is aware of it or not, these horsey people don't allow just anybody to attend their sporty gatherings.  So she should feel a little honored.

Well, her family seems to have paid for one team's shirts, which might have something to do with the warm welcome Brit received.

That and the fact that she didn't try to get behind the wheel on one of those horses.
