Britney Spears Showers Her Sister’s Baby
Britney Spears returned to her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana, for the first time in almost a year for her sister Jamie Lynn’s baby shower. The intimate affair (30 guests in total) was held at the Spears mansion, called Serenity, on Saturday. Lynne Spears recently won an award for Most Inappropriately Named Mansion Ever.
The alcohol-free affair (what kind of rednecks are they?) took place mostly indoors as paparazzi helicopters swarmed overhead. Britney and her conservator dad Jamie stayed in the mansion along with mom Lynne and the about-to-pop Jamie Lynn. The 17-year-old Nickelodeon star is due in June.
Britney reportedly issued an apology to the assembled family for all the trauma she has put them through this year. Having Myrna down at the Piggly Wiggly ask what in tarnation is up with that cousin of yours can be traumatizing!
Guests were reportedly asked before Brit-Brit’s arrival not to mention any of her recent travails. That must have been why it was alcohol-free.
Jamie Lynn received a camouflage-print onesie designed to take baby hunting. Someone cheaped out! There should have been an accompanying loaded shotgun for the lil’ tyke.
