Good for Britney Spears.
Yes, her performance at last year’s MTV VMA’s went over about as well as dinner at Hooters on a gay first date. But Brit knows that if at first you don’t succeed, keep ramming the train into a wall.
Spears is shooting a promo clip for the VMAs with Russell Brand. This fuels the rumor that she’ll perform again this year.

Meanwhile, whoever had the bright idea to bring U.K. comic Brand over to host this dog and pony act ought to be given the pink slip. Why not just wrangle Britney for the gig?
It’s not like she’s got better offers on the table.
