Brooke Shields: Relationship With Michael Was 'Asexual'

Brooke Shields is speaking out about her special relationship with the late Michael Jackson.

In a special commemorative issue of Rolling Stone, on sale Friday, Brooke says, "Nothing was jaded about him."

The two became "instant friends" after meeting when she was only thirteen, especially because she felt that sexual tension was off the table. She claims she was "the most celebrated virgin ever" at a time when women "wanted to throw themselves at (Jackson) and feel like they were going to teach him."

The more their relationship grew, Brooke notes, "the more asexual he became to me."

"He was like a little kid who talked about the bases—what first base was, what second base was," she recalls. "It sounded very odd to the outside, I can imagine, but to the inside, to someone who's never really left his bubble, you can understand how he would be curious."

The 44-year-old actress admits that the last time she saw Michael was at Elizabeth Taylor's wedding in 1991. "We snuck in and took pictures of ourselves next to her dress," Shields remembers. "We always seemed to revert to being little kids."
