Tonight marks the season two premiere of Showtime's hit show Californiacation, starring the one and only David Duchovny, as, well, himself. 

The show centers around a successful, but troubled, writer who is trying to win back his true love (and mother of his child) while sleeping with a procession of promiscuous L.A. chicks along the way.

In a twisted series of events, the X-Files vet checked himself into rehab for his own sexual addictions just last month.

It's all fine and dandy that he finally decided to take care of personal demons, but, hey, shouldn't he have waited till, say, this week to make his startling announcement? 

A little shameless self-promotion never hurt anyone. Just sayin!
