Candy Spelling Blames Tori For Her Husband’s Death
Umm…Candy. We don’t think your daughter is going to want to reconcile with you anytime soon after she reads what you’ve been saying about her to the media.
In an interview with 94.7 WMAS in Springfield, Mass. on Thursday morning, Candy Spelling spoke openly, and quite harshly, about her relationship with estranged daughter Tori.
“Ive always been trying to work on the relationship [with Tori],” Candy said. “I don’t know what the anger is. My daughter one day decided that she wasn’t speaking to my husband, myself and my son and that’s how it’s continued for the last, oh gosh, four or five years.”
She didn’t end there, however. She went on to essentially point the finger at Tori for her husband, and Tori’s father, Aaron Spelling‘s death. “It was sad because that’s what killed my husband actually. He just didn’t want to live after that. You know, He had done everything … he could possibly do for his daughter and she wanted no part of him once he couldn’t do anything for her.”
As far as we recall, Aaron died on June 23, 2006, following a stroke—not heartbreak.
We wonder what Tori has to say about this one…
OMG, this lady is nuts!!! I’ve been following this mother-daughter drama since the beginning and the more I listen to this crap, the worst it gets! Tori Spelling IS NOT THE EVIL DAUGHTER her mother is putting her out there to be. Unfortunately Mrs. Spelling reminds me a great deal of my mother. If it’s not about them, it can’t be about anyone! As close as Tori was to her father, for her own mother to make the comment that thats what killed him is the most horrible thing “A MOTHER” could say. Candy, getcha’ head right dawg, stop trying to soak up all the pity you can get your hands on, and bury the hatchett. Live your life and love your grandkids, maybe Tori went about her divorce then marriage to Dean wrong, but who’s life is it to live…yours or hers…come on now
TORI is pissed off because she realized her mother is to blame for being so horrendously UGLY!
I am furious with my mother. She is so mean to me, an Layla if you don’t like me say it to my face gosh! Well I just don’t appreciate all this gossip about me being spread, it makes me look negative. Which I totally am not, so what if I killed my father at least when I get convicted I can hire a good lawyer that can put my mother in jail

after mrs spelling’s comments about her daughter , one can see easily why Tori is not anxious to spend time with her “mother”.
This woman is dispicable. Tori has never tried to vilify her mother and yet this woman is blaming her own child for KILLING her father, when he died of a stroke.
And she says Tori ditched her dad and her family after he could no longer do “anything” for her (Tori). What is this about?? Is she trying to hint that Aaron Spelling was broke at the time of his death? Are you KIDDING me ? The mansion that Mrs Spelling had to make due with after her hubby died only had only,(4 count em FOUR) gift wrapping rooms.!!!!!!! She is asking multi millions for the place. Give me a break.
She obviously thought that after Mr. Spelling died that Tori would fall on her face, have no career in tv, movies or what have you, that her marriage would fail and that she would fade into obscurity.
And when not only did that NOT happen, but she actually has a good marriage and is a wonderful mom, and she is successful at whatever she tries her hand at, and is finding that the public actually LIKES Tori and has a warm spot in it’s collective heart for her and her brood, Mrs Spelling can’t have that. For if people LIKE Tori , they will believe her.
They (we) will know that what she says of her mom is probably more true than not. So in desperation, Mrs Spelling pulls out the big guns ( and also the most pathetically preposterous ) and says that Tori is so awful that she caused the death of her daddy.
Even if she privately thought that (wich I doubt) why would she say so in such a public arena? To humiliate and cause her daughter pain. What a woman.
Tori is worth a hundred of her. I pray that Candy Spelling will discover within her a mother’s heart and will do all possible to heal the chasm in her family. It is up to her. She is the elder. The mother. Ifit is important to her she will do it. If not, what a shame. She is missing out on seeing her grandchildren grow up. She will be the one who will ultimately lose something so great.
This is to Tori and Candy. I have two kids of my own as well. I recently lost my mother 4 years ago to an illness I believe she know but kept from me because we had a similar relationship only we do not have the fame or celebratity status a you and your mother have. During the last months of her illness I ended up being the main care giver. I would do anything now to just get a conversation or have a disagreement. Just try let it go. Just let it go. Today is July 1, 2009 I hope to see on your show Tori that you and your mother will try. My baby girl was born after my mother had passed I wish she would have been here to see her. I visit her grave regularly to have the conversation we have missed. I bet neither one of you know what your mad at each other about anyway.
