Carrie Prejean to Miss California Organization: Sue You!
Former Miss California USA Carrie Prejean—who was forced to abdicate her sash and tiara earlier this year for not fulfilling the contractual obligations of her position—has filed a lawsuit against pageant co-directors Keith Lewis and Shanna Moakler, E! Online reports.
Prejean is suing for damages for slander, libel, public disclosure of private facts, intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress and—yes, you’re reading this correctly—religious discrimination.
In the suit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday, the former beauty queen claims that Moakler and Lewis—in conjunction with publicist Roger Neal—engaged in a “conspiracy” against her, making “false and defamatory statements…in order to injure her reputation and to justify their plan to wrongfully revoke her title.”
These statements, Prejean alleges, made her “the subject of public ridicule, scorn and humiliation,” leading to lost earnings.
With regard to the religious persecution allegation, Prejean says that Moakler told her to stop mentioning God and her faith in public appearances, despite Moakler’s “knowledge of her deeply held religious beliefs as a Christian and her status as a student at a Christian college.”

It makes sense. I mean if someone can sue for racial, sexual, and lifestyle discrimination, then whats wrong with religious discrimination? I mean you can argue all you like, but its only fair with everything else.

It says in her contract she can’t have suggestive photos of her taken (in the past or present), SHE DID. It says you have to show up to all ofn your appearances, SHE DIDN’T. So how was she fired for discrimination? Carrie is doing what she always does, she’s taking no responsibility for her actions and instead putting all the blame on others, cause heaven forbid Carrie be wrong. I mean, Carrie didn’t lose Miss USA cause she was the wrong contestant, she lost cause the judges hated her. Of course, so Carrie’s the poor innocent victim, it all makes sense.
And if your Christian that’s great for you but not everyone is so please keep your beleifs to yourself and your Christian friends instead of forcing them on everyone else. I hate people who try and force their beliefs on others.
