Hair-metal kings Motley Crue collaborating with American Idol Carrie Underwood? It's more likely than you might think. At least to hear the boys in the band tell it.
Underwood recently covered Crue's classic "Home Sweet Home" for the new closing theme for Idol when finalists get booted. The band was thrilled, and bassist Nikki Sixx claims that he came close to actually playing on the track.
"I think we both want to write songs together. She writes pop songs and I think I'm a pop songwriter, however the songs are performed," Sixx told MTV during a recent appearance at Fuse.
Motley Crue (Vince Neil, Tommy Lee, Sixx and guitarist Mick Mars) are set to begin their Crüe Fest 2: The White Trash Circus tour and it looks like Underwood would be the star attraction if they had their way.
Don't plan on having her riding in the hottub on the back of the stretch limo just yet, boys. It was only a cover tune.
