Catherine Hardwicke Wishes On ‘Twilight’ Stars For New Films
Catherine Hardwicke, director of the first movie in the Twilight Saga, has her eyes on her former leading duo, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, to hopefully star in her next two projects: Maximum Ride and If I Stay.
“Some of the projects I’m doing, they would be in a completely different world,” Hardwicke revealed at the Young Hollywood Awards, MTV reports. “I’d love to do a number on them and transform them.” Again.
Maximum Ride tells the tale of half human, half bird hybrid teens in a fantasy film that is much in the same vein as the Twilight genre. Likewise, If I Stay would place Stewart in the role of a 17-year-old musician who, after a nasty crash, has an out-of-body experience resulting in her choosing life or death.
With the massively successful Twilight, Hardwicke catapulted its stars Stewart and Pattinson into the sweet life of fame and fortune. Still, it remains to be seen whether they’d be up for working with her again. Hardwicke’s statement comes after several members of the Twilight cast publicly denounced Hardwicke in favor of New Moon director Chris Weitz.
The prospect of a reunion between Hardwicke, Pattinson and Stewart sounds too good to be true, but we will literally hold our breath until the moment that there is an official casting announcement.

no PLEASE!!!!! first she ruins twilight with a less than perfect cast and fails to adequately direct… now she wants to put kris and rob in max.R?!!! seriously!!!! what can they be in maximum ride- max and fang (the oldest of the main characters) are only 14- resulting in the actors being like 25 by the time the characters are 15 (in the sequels). i think catherine H is on a life mission to ruin all our favourite booksTURNEDmovies!

NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! They’d absolutely ruin the whole entire movie. Rob is an okay Edward, but as Fang…..NOOOO!! Same with Kirsten…..
OMG OMG OMG!!!!! The idea of a Maximum Ride movie is absolutely amazing!! HOWEVER, the casting of Rob and Kristen would ruin the ENTIRE series for me and any other true MR fan. They would ruin the movie! They are NOT the right choice for this movie. BTW, Max and Fang are 14!!! Rob and Kirsten are what? 19? I don’t think so.
Yes!!! Yes!!! Yes!!! I would love it if Rob played Fang. I don’t really care who plays max or anyone else as long as Rob plays Fang. Anyway people keep on saying the people on the covers should play them but the Fang on the cover doesn’t look anywhere near 14 either. I think Rob is a great actor.
