Cynthia Nixon was born on April 9, 1966, in New York, New York. Nixon is an actress best known for her portrayal of Miranda Hobbes on the HBO series Sex and the City and is an Emmy-, Tony- and Grammy-winning actress. Nixon followed in her mother Anne Knoll's footsteps as an actress and landed her first job when she was 12 years old, appearing in the 1979 flick The Seven Wishes of a Rich Kid. The Sex and the City star has two children (Samantha and Charles Ezekiel) with Danny Mozes, whom she dated from 1988 to 2003. She’s currently dating Christine Marinoni; they’ve been a couple since 2004. On April 15, 2008, Nixon announced on Good Morning America that she had battled breast cancer after being diagnosed during a routine mammogram in October 2006. Also in 2008, Nixon began serving as an ambassador for Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
