Gabrielle was born on October 29, 1972 in Omaha, Nebraska. When she was eight, her family moved to the San Francisco suburb of Pleasanton. In high school, Gabrielle's extracurricular activity of choice was athletics, playing soccer, basketball and track. After graduation, she attended the University of Nebraska with law school as the next stop on her career path. She ended up at UCLA, where she graduated with a degree in sociology. While at UCLA, she took an internship at a modeling agency. Her striking looks moved her from intern to client quickly and she took on modeling gigs to help pay her college loans. Soon after she launched her new career, she landed guest spots on shows like Moesha, Saved By the Bell: The New Class and Sister, Sister. In 1999, she appeared in supporting roles in the teen comedies She's All That and 10 Things I Hate About You. The next year, she landed her biggest tole to date as a cheerleader who tangles with Kirsten Dunst in the comedy Bring It On. That same year, she landed the role of 'Dr. Courtney Ellis' on the CBS medical drama City of Angels. Gabrielle's star continued to rise and in 2003, she landed her first leading role opposite LL Cool J in Deliver Us from Eva and played Will Smith's love interest in the blockbuster Bad Boys II. The actress has continued to keep busy playing 'Alice Kramden' to Cedric the Entertainer's 'Ralph' in the 2005 reboot of The Honeymooners and has also appeared in Running with Scissors and the Tyler Perry-directed Daddy's Little Girls. Most recently, Gabrielle showed up on Ugly Betty, playing Vanessa Williams' sister.
