Katherine Heigl

Katherine Heigl was born November 24, 1978, in Washington, D.C. She is a film and television actress who is known for starring in a number of romantic comedies. Katherine’s older brother passed away in 1986 after being involved in a car crash. Katherine’s first leading film role was in the 1994 film My Father the Hero, and she followed that up with the TV movie Wish Upon a Star in 1996. In 1999, she began appearing on the popular television show Roswell, and remained on the show until it was cancelled in 2002. She began appearing as Dr. Izzie Stevens on Grey’s Anatomy in 2005, but left the show in 2010 to focus on her film career. Films she has appeared in include The Ringer, Knocked Up and 27 Dresses. Katherine married singer Josh Kelley on December 23, 2007, in Utah, and the two adopted a daughter with special needs, Naleigh, in 2009.
