Nicky Hilton

While she may not be in the public eye quite as much as her infamous sister, Nicky Hilton has parlayed her socialite status into a successful career in fashion. Nicholai 'Nicky' Olivia Hilton was born on October 5, 1983 in New York City to hotel heirs Rick and Kathy Hilton. As a child, Nicky, her older sister Paris and brothers Barron and Conrad Hilton grew up moving between several homes, including a suite in the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in Manhattan, Beverly Hills, and The Hamptons on Long Island, New York. After graduating from high school, she was accepted at the Fashion Institute of Technology and Parsons School of Design, which she attended but did not complete her studies to get her fashion degree. She began her fashion career as a model, doing runway shows for a number of major fashion designers and also modeled for lingerie company Frederick's of Hollywood. During this time she and her sister Paris became media darlings, making tabloid headlines as they hit NYC's hottest nightclubs and hung out with Hollywood's A-listers. Although she was offered to join Paris' reality show The Simple Life and has made appearances in films such as National Lampoon's Pledge This! and Pauly Shore is Dead, Nicky has always wanted to be a fashion designer, designing handbags since she was 17. She designed bags for Tokyo-based designer Samantha Thavasa from 2002 to 2005 and the bags have a long list of celebrity fans including Tara Reid, Britney Spears and Pamela Anderson. Nicky launched her first fashion collection, Chick by Nicky Hilton in 2004 and in 2007, her higher-end line, Nicholai debuted during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York City. With success, notoriety and love - with beau David Katzenberg - Nicky Hilton shows no signs of falling out of fashion.
