Seal, who was born Seal Henry Olusegun Olumide Adeola Samuel on February 19, 1963, in London, England, is known for his soul and R&B singing career. The artist has numerous international hits and is also married to supermodel Heidi Klum. The scars on Seal’s face were caused by the chronic skin condition discoid lupus erythematosus, which he suffered from as a teen. In the ’80s, Seal traveled around the world with different bands, singing everything from funk to blues. He didn’t get his big break until he met producer Adamski, who produced Seal’s 1990 hit “Killer.” His next single, “Crazy,” reached number seven on the Billboard charts. In 1994, Seal released his second album, which featured one of his most popular tracks to date, “Kiss from a Rose.” The single won Seal the Grammys for Record of the Year and Song of the Year in 1996, after being remixed and featured on the Batman Forever soundtrack. Seal went on to make 11 more albums. He met wife Heidi Klum in 2003, when Klum was pregnant with Italian Renault Formula One team director Flavio Briatore’s child. Klum left Briatore while pregnant and married Seal in 2005. Seal adopted Briatore’s daughter in 2009 and has been the only father figure she has ever known. The couple has since had three children of their own; they renew their marriage vows every year on their anniversary.
