Alexis Bledel

Alexis Bledel was born September 16, 1981, in Houston, Texas, as Kimberly Alexis Bledel. She is an actress best known for playing Rory Gilmore on the long-running TV series Gilmore Girls, which ended in 2007 after seven seasons. Alexis received many nominations and Awards for her role on the show, including a Family Television Award, a Young Artist Award and two Teen Choice Awards for Choice Actress in a Comedy. She is also known for playing Lena Kaligaris in the films The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2. She has appeared in other films as well, such as Tuck Everlasting, Sin City, Post Grad and The Letters, which is scheduled to come out in 2011.
