Ally Sheedy


Ally Sheedy was born June 13, 1962, in New York, New York. She is an actress and author best known for her roles in the classic “Brat Pack” films The Breakfast Club and St. Elmo's Fire and the films Short Circuit and WarGames. She appeared in many movies throughout the 1990s, including Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, Man's Best Friend and High Art. She has also had guest-starring roles on television shows such as CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Kyle XY and the USA Network hit Psych. She won an Independent Spirit Award, a National Society of Film Critics Award and a Los Angeles Film Critics Association Award for her performance in 1998’s High Art, and she and her fellow Brat Pack members were awarded the MTV Movie Awards’ Silver Bucket of Excellence Award in 2005. Ally is also the author of two books: She Was Nice to Mice (1975) and Yesterday I Saw the Sun: Poems (1991). On April 12, 1992, Ally married actor David Lansbury; the two have a daughter together. In May 2008, after sixteen years of marriage, Ally filed for divorce.
