Amber Tamblyn


Amber Tamblyn was born May 14, 1983, in Santa Monica, California; she is the actress daughter of Oscar-nominated actor Russ Tamblyn of West Side Story fame. Amber is best known for her roles in General Hospital, Joan of Arcadia and the films The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and its sequel. She first appeared on television in 1995, when she was cast as Emily Bowen on the soap opera General Hospital; she remained on the show until 2001. From 2003 to 2005, she starred as Joan Girardi on CBS's Joan of Arcadia, for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe, an Emmy and two Teen Choice Awards, among others. Her role in 2005’s The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants was her first major film part.
