Anderson Cooper was born June 3, 1967, in New York, New York. He is a TV journalist who is best known for being the anchor of his own CNN show, Anderson Cooper 360°. He is the son of legendary fashion designer Gloria Vanderbilt. In 1995, he joined ABC News as a correspondent, which led him to become co-anchor of their World News Now program in 1999. In 2001, he switched to hosting the reality show The Mole, then moved on to CNN. There, he co-anchored CNN's American Morning until becoming the anchor of his own two-hour show in September of 2003.
