With her bigger nose and smaller boobs, Ashlee Simpson was kind of like the 'Jan Brady' to sister Jessica Simpson's 'Marcia.' Lucky for her, the world soon grew tired of Jessica's airhead antics and warmed to Ashlee's funky, individual style. Born in the lovely town of Waco, Texas, on October 3, 1984, the younger Simpson initially toured with her sis as a backup dancer. Soon enough her own desire to be a star drove Ashlee to release Autobiography, which debuted at No. 1 in the U.S. But after she was caught lip-synching on Saturday Night Live, the backlash ensued and she was booed off the stage during a performance at the Orange Bowl. She now cries herself to sleep in the arms of boyfriend Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy.
