Axl Rose


Axl Rose was born on February 6, 1963, in Lafayette, Indiana. He is a musician who is best known for being the co-founder and lead singer of the popular hard-rock band Guns N' Roses. Rose and Tracii Guns (who was later replaced by Slash) formed the band in 1985 and released their debut album, Appetite for Destruction, in July 1987. The album, which contained the hit single “Welcome to the Jungle,” went 18 times platinum, making it the best-selling debut album in the U.S. Five more studio albums followed: G N' R Lies, Use Your Illusion I, Use Your Illusion II, “The Spaghetti Incident?” and Chinese Democracy, all of which went platinum or multi-platinum. Some of the hits from those albums include “Sweet Child o’ Mine,” “Paradise City” and “November Rain.” The band won four American Music Awards and four MTV Video Music Awards, among others. They went on their Chinese Democracy tour in 2010. Rose married Erin Everly in April 1990, but the marriage was annulled in January 1991. He was later involved with model Stephanie Seymour.
