Barry Bonds


Barry Bonds was born July 24, 1964, in Riverside, California. He is a former Major League Baseball player who started his professional career in 1986 playing for the Pittsburgh Pirates. He joined the San Francisco Giants in 1993 and remained with that team until leaving MLB in 2007. In the course of his career, Barry won seven MVP awards—the most of any player to date. He also set a number of records, including the most career home runs (762), the most home runs in a single season (73), the most walks in a single season (232) and the most intentional walks in a single season (120). Since 2003, Barry has been embroiled in a steroid scandal. In 2007, he was indicted on charges of perjury and obstruction of justice. His trial is set to begin on March 21, 2011. Barry has been married and divorced twice. He has three children, two with first wife Susann Branco and one with second wife Liz Watson.
