Oscar winner and five-time divorcee (yes, Angelina Jolie wasn't the only one), Billy Bob Thornton is the offbeat, tattooed Renaissance man Hollywood has taken under its wing. Born in Hot Springs, Arkansas, on August 4, 1955, Thornton started out as a musician, snagged his 1996 Oscar for writing Sling Blade and worked with Burt Reynolds (something his psychic mother predicted he would do) on early '90s TV show Evening Shade.
