Carey Hart

At 5’11”, Carey Hart is one of the most recognized names in all of freestyle Motocross. His father bought him his first bike when he was four in hopes of spending more time with him, but what started as father-son bonding, turned into Carey’s lifelong passion. After his first local race as an amateur, he was hooked, and by high school graduation, Carey was a professional rider. Soon after, Carey grew bored with Supercross, and began riding with a group of guys who were interested in a more creative form of Motocross. In 1998, the Freestyle movement was born, with Carey leading the way. Carey has been one of the most innovative riders in the sport and is the inventor of many famous stunts including the Hart Attack. At the 2000 Gravity Games, Carey signed his name in the record books as the first rider to ever complete a back flip on a 250cc motorcycle. This catapulted not only Carey’s career, but also Freestyle itself to a whole new level. Hart traveled the world on a mission to put Freestyle Motocross on the map. Along the way, he jumped in the trailer park for Kid Rock’s video Bawitdaba and his dream to play bass with Pennywise came true on the 2000 Australian Warped Tour. His popularity has greatly helped increase exposure for his sport as a whole. He has been featured nationwide in ad campaigns for Ford and Mountain Dew, as well as in print publications such as Paper Magazine, Teen People, EXPN The Magazine, and Rolling Stone. In 2004, Carey’s passion for tattoos became a major business venture when he teamed up with fellow entrepreneur, John Huntington and opened up Hart & Huntington Tattoo Company at the Palms Casino in Las Vegas, NV. This lead to another TV opportunity for Carey when the A&E Network made the decision to follow him and the works of his shop on their own reality show, Inked. Since then they have opened three more Hart and Huntington tattoo shops in Honolulu, Cabo San Lucas, and Orlando at Universal City Walk. He has also opened up his newest venture, Wasted Space, which brings him to the forefront of the nightclub industry. In 2006 Hart married musician Pink, but in 2008 the two were separated. It has since been confirmed by Pink, in March of 2009 that the couple is back together.
