Christian Bale was born January 30, 1974, in Pembrokeshire, Wales. He is an actor who is best known for starring as Batman in the films Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. Christian first got noticed for his starring performance in the 1986 Steven Spielberg film Empire of the Sun, for which he won both a Young Artist Award and a National Board of Review, USA Award. He also starred in films such as American Psycho, A Midsummer Night's Dream and The Prestige. Christian has received 24 award nominations and 12 awards, including an MTV Movie Award and three People’s Choice Awards. On January 29, 2000, he married Sibi Blazic; they have one child together.
