Christina Aguilera was born December 18, 1980, in Staten Island, New York. She is a Grammy-winning singer-songwriter who is best known for the singles “Genie in a Bottle”, “What a Girl Wants”, “Come On Over Baby”, “Ain’t No Other Man”, “Fighter”, “Candyman” and “Beautiful.” Christina got her start in 1990 as a contestant on Star Search, then, from 1993 to 1994, starred on the Disney Channel's The Mickey Mouse Club alongside fellow future pop stars Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake. Christina released her debut album, Christina Aguilera, in 1999, which was followed by three more studio albums: Stripped, Back to Basics and her latest, Bionic,which was released in 2010. Christina has sold almost 50 million albums worldwide.In the 2000s, she was the top-selling single artist, after Madonna. In the course of her career, Christina has earned numerous awards and nominations, including four Grammys and two MTV Video Music Awards. In November 2005, she married Jordan Bratman, and they had one child together. In October 2010, the couple announced that they have separated.
