Cindy Crawford was born February 20, 1966, in DeKalb, Illinois. She is a supermodel who has appeared on hundreds of magazine covers and in many TV commercials in the course of her career. Her trademark is the mole above her lip. Some of the magazines whose covers she has graced include Vogue, Elle, Allure, People, Cosmopolitan and Harper's Bazaar. She appeared on the debut issue of George Magazine dressed as George Washington. She has also modeled in campaigns for such big names as Pepsi, Escada, Revlon, Versace, Clairol and Maybelline. Cindy posed nude for Playboy in both July 1988 and October 1998. She was ranked number five on Playboy's list of the 100 Sexiest Stars of the 20th Century. Cindy officially quit modeling in 2000, but occasionally still works from time to time. She has several home-decorating lines, including two furniture lines that are sold at Rooms to Go and Raymour & Flanigan, respectively, and a home-goods line at J. C. Penney. From 1991 to 1995, Cindy was married to actor Richard Gere. She married second husband Rande Gerber on May 29, 1998. They have two children.
