Connie Chung was born August 20, 1946, in Washington, D.C. She is an Emmy-winning TV journalist who has been a news anchor on many major networks, including NBC, CBS, ABC, MSNBC and CNN. Connie began her career in the ’70s as a correspondent for the CBS Evening News with Walter Cronkite. From there, she went on to anchor the early-morning program NBC News at Sunrise, after which she became the host of her own show, Saturday Night with Connie Chung. Since then, she has anchored or co-anchored several news shows, including Eye to Eye with Connie Chung, Face to Face with Connie Chung, 20/20, World News Tonight and Connie Chung Tonight. She also hosted the Emmy-winning 1999 TV documentary ABC 2000: The Millennium. In December 1984, she married talk-show host Maury Povich. They have one child.
