Courtney Love

Courtney Love was born Courtney Michelle Harrison on July 9, 1964, in San Francisco, California. She is a singer and actress who is best known for being the lead singer in the alternative rock band Hole, and for being the wife of late grunge rocker Kurt Cobain. Hole’s debut album, Pretty on the Inside, was released in 1991, and it was followed by three more studio albums, including the platinum albums Live Through This and Celebrity Skin. The band broke up in 2002, but they reunited in 2009 and released their fourth studio album, Nobody’s Daughter, in 2010. After the band split up in 2002, Courtney tried for a solo career, releasing the album America's Sweetheart in 2004. In the meantime, she also appeared in several movies, including 200 Cigarettes and The People vs. Larry Flynt, the latter for which she received both Golden Globe and MTV Movie Award nominations. For years, Courtney has fought a very public battle with drug addiction, and she has had many run-ins with the law because of it. She has been married twice. She married second husband Kurt Cobain in February 1992, and they had a daughter named Frances Bean. Kurt had a history of depression and drug addiction, both of which Courtney attempted to help him with. Unfortunately, he ultimately committed suicide. His body was found on April 8, 1994. Since Kurt’s death, Courtney has dated various celebrities, most notably actor Ed Norton. She and daughter Frances Bean are currently estranged.
